Paris Design Week 2012

The second annual Paris Design Week will be held from the 10th to the 16th of September. Looking at the fantastic success of the event’s debut in 2011, which saw over 60,000 visitors at more than 100 participating venues, people are looking forward to this year’s event with great anticipation. The Design Week promises to transform Paris into a whirlwind of innovation and excitement, complete with themed pathways, brilliant new venues and an even greater program than last year.

Professionals from the international design sphere will be flocking to Paris en masse to attend the event, as key players collaborate to show the true scope and power of innovation in this great city. An enthralling range of displays and discoveries await the general public, who are invited to explore the various exhibitions and to experience for themselves the exciting new products available from the hottest brands today.

While the event in 2011 was structured according to geographical areas, this year the Paris Design Week organizers have changed the route up (yet another show of brilliant creativity). The various participating venues, including studios and showrooms, institutions and galleries, restaurants and hotels, will be linked by themed pathways. The goal is to expose visitors to unique and particular aspects of creativity in each key themed area. Aspects range from a fantastic children’s sector to digital creativity to regional creativity, such as the Scandinavian theme.
