A social scientific and artistic reflection, interesting and very consistent with the atmosphere of the year that just started, what will you do after the apocalypse? perhaps reborn as a phoenix and simply let yourself be embraced by the mass destruction, in any case, if you have not thought about it yet, a good start is to visit this exhibition at the Museum of Neuchatel in Paris.

The feeling, based on the continuing dramatic events we see every day in our societies, make us think that we will inevitably have a terrible end. A group of artists and anthropologists in Paris, have joined to built a three-level exhibition, which reflects our continued fight against this tragic end, our social imagination, myths, public policy, art, etc.. For this, the Museum of Neuchatel has arranged three floors. The first of these, called “Kalypse-Basto” shows the work of artists L. Isabelle and Ms Bastian, who, through imagery, music, film and literature scenes show disaster of evil and terror in the world.

The second floor of the museum will be devoted to dialogue and reflection of seven anthropologists who study this subject. The presentations and dialogue will focus on the tension between destruction and the climax (revival) around fields or areas diverse as politics, sexuality, philosophy, economics, aesthetics, energy supply, migration, etc..

The third floor will be occupied by the François Burland’s, submarine; half war machine, half toy for children. Within this, the visitor can interact with information that revolves around a final thought: How are you projecting a future full of threats? As a mere observer? or As an active participant of the disaster?.

The exhibition will be in on display until June 2012.
