5 Events in Paris 2012

Paris is a city that lives intensely and its obvious in the cultural panorama of entertainment that is always being renewed, so we’ve  investigated what are the best options so we can share it with you if you have prepared a trip to this city, and know where to go and how to have fun without excessive spending.

It is good to remember that spring is coming and with it renewed energy, thousands of new and inexpensive activities emerge to which many Parisians and visitors are attracted to, leaving behind the short days and long nights.

One of these activities is the Printemps du Cinéma, which takes place between 21 and 23 March as a celebration of early spring in the city of light. During the three days, movie theaters charge a  € 3.50 entry fee for all functions. Something not to be missed out if you are a film buff.

Ckalacas , which means skull, is a wonderful horse show led by the famous horse trainer Bartabas, which summarizes the essence of a culture through the mix of circus, theater, music and gypsy culture inspired by the mexican culture of death. Eros and Thanatos come together to unleash a wonderful creation. In theaters until March 11th at the equestrian Zingaro theater located at 176 Avenue Jean Jaurès.

As of April 2, the Centre Pompidou exhibits Danser sa Vie, dedicated to the relationship between dance and the visual arts. In this framework, the Festival presents nearly 200 Vidéodanse films by choreographers on the subject. The museum is open on Thursdays until 23:00, tickets cost between 11 and 13 €.

On the 7th and 8th of April, the Palais Omnisports de Paris Bercy, presents in concert David Guetta, considered the best DJ in the world. The concert is the presentation of his sixth album  “Nothing but the Beat” and will have special guests such as Usher, Black Eyed Peas, peak 50 cent and Taio Cruz. The concert starts at 20:00 and the cheapest ticket is priced at 16.5 €.

On June 21 the traditional Fête de la Musique  is celebrated in the 20 districts of Paris. Rock, funk, pop, folk, classical music and jazz, will liven the city.

And if it comes to concerts, this year Paris will be visited and by the British band  Coldplay on Sept 2. Fans will vibrate at their presentation at the Stade de France Arena. The ticket prices range between 97 € and 120 €.

The Techno Parade 2012 is an event not to be missed if you are in Paris on September 17 this year. It takes place in the district of La Bastille and is the largest street performance in the world of techno music. It’s completely free, you can follow the caravan of cars during 5 or 6 miles of the festival.
