Dogging and sex in public places
What does dogging sound like to you? What image comes to your mind with this word? Shall we dance reggaeton? Or shall we go out for a walk with your pet? Perhaps playing to be like a dog? Zoophilia? Fail. Dogging is referred to sex in public places. But what does that have to do with dogs?
Although, considering it from this point of view the term sounds very vulgar and an unattractive practice, one of the theories of its name is related to the usual association with canine copulate where they get the opportunity, without shame to be seen, without fear of disapproving glances of those humans as orthodox eyes that turn away offended. Another theory, the most accepted one, is that the term arose from the custom of British voyeurism from the 70′s on the pretext of taking the dog for a walk at night at public squares to spy on couples within their cars.
Dogging consists on having sexual encounters in public places, in a casual and anonymous way and also, under a previous agreement. It usually takes place in parks, squares, beaches, forests, highway rest areas, and any place that offers privacy. Generally these cases are often agreed upon in advance through internet, and are in constant geographical shift, to avoid clashes with the law.
This practice is extended worldwide and accepts voyeurism, exhibitionism, casual sex, swinging and even group sex, depending on preferences and opportunities; you can attend the date alone, in pairs or groups. Often there are more men than women, so that when women attend it alone, they are often highly sought after, although unfortunately for many, they are usually accompanied.
There are several codes that doggers use to communicate their intentions and permissiveness, and it is important for you to know if you are interested to get started in this practice. First one: to identify a Doggers’ car and avoid misunderstandings, look at the exterior lights of the car, if they turn on and off, here they are. When the car’s interior light is on, it means that the couple inside wants to be seen. If the window is open, you can approach and touch. And if the door is open, you’re invited to take part in the party. In general, these meetings are heterosexual, although the gay community also does it; it is what is called cruising.
